Watson continues to explore emotion and desire through classical themes as depicted in his first exhibition of photography in Melbourne in 2006, which has exhibited in Sydney and London with great success this year. These composite works elegantly align formal antiquity and nature, with the contemporary figures who somehow reside comfortably in these imagined dreamlike settings.

Scissor Sisters front man, Jake Shears, 18 year old Melbourne singer Eran James (selected to support Elton John on his forthcoming Oz tour), and AFL footballers Paul Licuria and Brodie Holland feature in this haunting and evocative exhibition of photography. Each image is a limited edition of 6.

Elton John, who has collected Watson's art for 20 years, recommended Shears model for Watson. Shears visited his successful 2007 Midsumma Festival exhibition.

Elton John purchased three works for his private collection in Atlanta, from Watson's first series of photographs produced last year. Watson will preview Catalogue XXVIII Photograph late November.
